Pinar Ciftci is a Norwegian actress, playwright, producer and journalist, from Oslo.

Fluent in Norwegian, English, Turkish, German, French, and Kurdish, she holds a BA in Acting and Artistic Production from Nord Universitet and has trained in acting at the William Esper Studio in New York, as well as in contemporary choreography and performance at Tanzquartier Wien.

Ciftci has worked in theatre and film across Norway, Chile, Austria and Greece. As an independent journalist, she has written for multiple Norwegian publications. Her work has achieved international recognition – translated into both Arabic, Italian and English – and was nominated for Critique of the Year in 2025 by the Norwegian Critics' Association.
 

She made her debut as a playwright and lead actress with HULL at Det Norske Teatret in 2023. In autumn 2025, she premiered FRAVÆRENDE HELT, which received critical acclaim and was shortlisted for the National Ibsen Award 2026. In spring 2026, she premiered WONDERLAND at Vega Scene, earning widespread praise from critics.
